Why Women get raped

Rape is one of the most terrible crimes on earth and it happens every few minutes. The problem with groups who deal with rape is that they try to educate women about how to defend themselves. What really needs to be done is teaching men not to rape. Go to the source and start there. -Kurt Cobain.

The issue of rape is one that cannot be overemphasized. It in fact has been of great concern to many since before Christ was prophesied. Oh, so you didn't know? Well, now you do. Discussing rape or any rape related topic(s) should be mandatory for every community, state and country in order to enlighten and educate it's citizens on the topic since many have shown ignorance to the subject. Some people commit rape crimes without even knowing it. In this article, I'll quickly take us back to what rape is and common reasons people commit such crimes that you probably do not know yet.
Rape, in accordance with the definitions of the Merriam Webster Dictionary is :
  1. an act or instance of  robbing or despoiling or carrying away a person by force.
  2. unlawful sexual activity and, usually sexual intercourse, carried out forcibly or under threat of injury against the will, usually of a female, or with a person who is beneath a certain age or incapable of valid consent because of mental illness, mental deficiency, intoxication, unconsciousness, or deception.
From the above definitions one would agree that rape is not only when a person forcibly have sexual intercourse with another person, it is also rape to do same deceptively. Same applies to when engaging a person or persons below the legal age of adulthood in sexual activities.

Five(5) reasons why people commit rape crimes

May I remind you that man is naturally sinful (smiles). Oh yes I just said that so don't give me that look on your face. Every human being on earth is naturally attracted to sin. Having said that, let's now move ahead to look at other reasons why people commit this crime.
  1. Lack of Self Control:

The urge for sex is something we need not be ashamed of or try to deny. It is, in fact, a very important part of us considering it's role in the fulfillment of God's first commandment to man ("..go into the world and multiply..") but when this urge is not controlled, it definitely controls us.
  2.  Disregard:

You May not know it but disregard is first among many other numerous causes of sexual abuse. Come to think of it, Can one hurt or harm someone they regard so much or hold in high esteem? Of course not!
  3. Moral Decadence:

When there is great love for pleasure, money, fame etc. over good morals, then one would go any lenght(s) to get their desires not minding the consequences of their actions or who gets hurt in the process.
  4. Indiscipline:

Obeying laid down rules and following common principles has fast become an antiquated practice in the innovated world of today where everyone and no one is wise. Even a second grade student  now wants freedom, I wonder from what they wish to be free, themselves? I know you wonder too! Like a teacher man once said "...it is abnormal to be normal in this abnormal generation...".
  5. Bad Parenting:

Before  attacking this post with your opinions you might want to do a little research on the mighty German Nazi soldier Adolph Hitler who once articulated that " He alone who owns the youth gain the future." This quote goes a long way to explain why a man's actions cannot be judged without a background check on his history. The People ( family, especially parent(s), and/or guardian(s) ) and the environment in which a child grows is directly responsible for the adult the child becomes as these are the first set of influences in the life of every child. Remember "the boy is the father of the man". So Hitler wasn't after all wrong.

In conclusion, Rape isn't topic that should be treated lightly. It is a very delicate matter which needs urgent attention and action. Much efforts should be made to educate as many children as possible on the evil associated with sex crimes. the aforementioned reasons should serve as a guide to achieving such goals.
